Looking for a post-doctoral position in mechanics

I am looking for a post-doctoral opportunity to use my know-how in
mechanics and further develop my understanding and contribute to the
community. I have a PhD in Engineering Mechanics from UW-Madison.

I have worked as a research assistant during my graduate studies; in
computational mechanics, finite element analysis (FEA) and computer code
development (FORTRAN, MATLAB), stress and deformation analysis, experimental mechanics with
specific study subjects which have varied from macro-scale to
nano-scale. In my PhD work, I have been interested in FEA and other
numerical modeling of contact mechanics problems, focusing on surfaces
of micro-electro-mechanical systems. In this project I have studied
nano-, micro-mechanics, multi-scale/fractal modeling, surface
characterization techniques, adhesion, plasticity, friction and other
related topics. In my previous research project, in the Structural
Engineering program in the Civil and Environmental Engineering
Department, I conducted experiments and prepared models for
investigating seismic resistance of friction based slotted-bolted
connections of precast concrete walls.

I have extensive teaching experience, as a lecturer and as a teaching
assistant, in Engineering Mechanics-Statics, Mechanics of materials,
Finite Element Analysis (theory and programming), and classwork
assessment experience for Dynamics and Vibrations. I enjoy teaching,
and given the right opportunity, I would be happy to assume
responsibility of a class

I would like to work on a project related to mechanics, possibly
involving one or more of these concepts: computational mechanics,
multi-scale simulations bridging continuum and atomistic approaches,
programming, contact, friction, fracture, structural dynamics,
vibrations. I am open to other opportunites. Please contact me:
