VUHARD for material subroutine and abaqus 6.13.1 requirements

Hi all,

I am new at subroutine and abaqus requirements and its compatibility. I am trying to use a subroutine VUHARD for the material modeling of polycrystalline material under shock loading. I am not sure if I can use VUHARD because of my lack of experience in subroutines. I have couple of questions listed below and I would really appreciate if anyone can give me a insight in this subject.

1) Can I use visco-plastic formulation (rate- dependent) in VUHARD?

2) I see that there is no charlength ( length of an element) in VUHARD as it exists in VUMAT. Can I add this charlength in VUHARD as the simulation that I need to do is dependent on length of an element. I am trying to use subroutine artificial viscosity and damage parameter which are dependent on length of an element.

3) Can I use Equation of State in VUHARD as I need EOS for the shock dynamics?

4) I was using Abaqus 6.12.3 earlier but now I got the abaqus changed to 6.13-1 and what are the requirements for the compiler and visual studio that go along with the abaqus 6.13-1. I tried to run a model with a compiler intel parallel studio XE 2011 and microsoft visual studio 2011, but its giving me an error saying it cannot open a file msmpi.lib with another error saying problem during linking. I don't know what is wrong with it and i tried running from compiler but its giving the same error. I will really appreciate if you can help me solve this problem.

Anyone who is familiar with abaqus and subroutines and who can provide an input to the problems regarding my questions will be greatly appreciated.
