Tenure Track Faculty Position in Advanced Materials at North Carolina State University

The Department of Civil Engineering at North Carolina State University is inviting applications for a possible tenure-track position in the broad area of advanced materials. Tenure Track Faculty Position(s) in Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering

The Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at North Carolina State University has recently embraced the overarching theme of sustainability and resilience. It is now inviting applications at all ranks for one or more tenure-track faculty positions. Under this theme, eight focus areas are emphasized: energy and the environment, water resources and coastal engineering, infrastructure health monitoring, advanced materials, construction engineering and management, transportation systems, natural systems, and informatics. Applicants with analytical, computational and/or experimental expertise in water resources, coastal engineering, construction engineering and management, and advanced materials are our highest priority, but applications in all focus areas are encouraged.

An earned doctorate degree in civil engineering or a closely related field is required. Professional experience and registration are desirable. Successful applicant(s) will be expected to develop and maintain a nationally recognized research and educational program within one or more of the sustainability focus areas, assist in engaging the department in sustainability initiatives, and teach graduate and undergraduate courses.
