Instantaneous centre of rotation

Hi everybody! I'm glad to join iMechanica, just hope to contribute something of interest...and share our penchant for this fascinating subject with all of you

I've been lecturing undergraduate vector mechanics, and I just prepared some notes on instantaneous centre of rotation for rigid bodies. Most of the classical textbooks (e.g. Hibbeler, Beer & Johnston, etc) mention a couple of quite simple ways to locate such a point; it came to my mind the idea of considering the centre of the osculating circle to any particle belonging to the rigid body as an alternative way to locate the instantaneous centre of rotation; further, I think it would be interesting to explore if a zero-acceleration could also be located by such means...is there already an exploration of this idea?

Kind Regards
