Doctoral student positions in computational geomechanics at UBC, Vancouver

We are on the lookout for TWO exceptionally bright and eager Ph.D. students to join our Theoretical & Applied Geomechanics (TAG) research team, to work in the areas of computational geomechanics and geotechnical earthquake engineering. The candidate must hold an M.Sc. degree in geotechnical engineering and must have solid knowledge in applied mechanics and continuum and/or discrete element modeling (computation and/or program development). Consideration will be given to candidates with a proven record of relevant academic background.

Postdoc openings on metal additive manufacturing at the National University of Singapore

Dr. Wentao Yan's group at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS), focuses on metal additive manufacturing: computational modeling, experimental investigation and data analytics.
There are two openings for postdoctoral fellows available immediately. The candidates are required to have expertise in one of the following areas: 1) high-entropy alloys; 2) hot cracking and thermal stress; 3) multiphase/fluid-particle flow modeling. The expertise on additive manufacturing is a plus but not a must.

PhD Position in Computational Biomechanics at KTH-Stockholm

We are looking for strongly motivated Postdocs and/or Ph.D. students to join our group in the Department of Mechanical Engineering & Materials Science at Duke University. Two openings with primary focuses on flexible electronics and programmable matter are available immediately. 

 

Position 1: The research will aim to create new classes of epidermal electronics for precision measurement of body mechanics and acoustics. The candidate is expected to collaborate with the school of medicine at Duke University to explore novel clinical applications.
