Open Post-Doc Position in Italy at University of Modena and Reggio Emilia on Auxetic Metamaterials (UPDATE)

Vacancies exist for high-calibre one PhD student and one PDF to join the Integrated Design and Engineering Analysis Laboratory at York University, starting immediately.
The position’s primary area of research will focus on shape and topology optimization. 

Requirement:
- Strong background in numerical simulations, finite element analysis, and computational solid mechanics
- Excellent programming skills and experience with high-performance computing
- Proficiency in English, good written and verbal communication skills

The research is concerned with modeling of electroactive soft materials. Preference will be given to candidates with background in nonlinear finite element methods and constitutive modeling.

Our research group has two projects for Ph.D. students.

The microMechanics of Deformation Research Group (mMOD) in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Rutgers University is seeking a Post-Doctoral Associate to perform research under an internal award from the Rutgers TechAdvance program. The goal of the project is to extend a recently developed technique for constructing finite-element-based physics-informed neural network (FE-PINN) surrogate models to nonlinear problems in mechanics of materials (and beyond).

We have 2 postdoc openings in the field of laser fusion additive manufacturing of metals at Tsinghua University. The candidates are required to have expertise in synchrotron x-ray techs, metal additive manufacturing, electron microscopy (TEM/SEM), grain growth, phase transformation, or micromechanics.
