A master position is open at University of Technology of Belfort-MontBéliard in France. The master projet is essentially focused on the modeling of the interaction between the laser and metals in order to predict surface morphology.
The modeling has to account for the different physical phenomenon involved during the interaction. Therefore, comparison between experimental database and numerical results is expected.
I am looking for a enthusiastic Student or Postdoc who would like to enhance his/her knowledge in the field of computational mechanics. The focus in this three-year research project is about IGA simulation of flow diverters in patient-specific blood vessels considering fluid-structure interactions.

Université-Est Créteil Val de Marne (UPEC) starting September 2023, under the
supervision of Pr. Salah Naili. This will involve to develop and validate a
mechanical model and numerical methods allowing to describe the interaction
between the ultrasonic wave field and a rough surface of an implant.

A position exists, for a Research Assistant/Associate Department of Engineering, to work on the Mechanics of Li ion Batteries
There is an opening for a funded PhD in mechanical engineering at the University of Southampton starting Fall 2023 or Spring 2024, under the supervision of Dr. Benjamin Cameron. This will involve the development of novel theoretical/computational methods to extract material properties from digital image correlation (or digital volume correlation) data in complex settings. Candidates with strong mechanical engineering background on solid mechanics and analytical works are encouraged to apply. Experience with FEM software is a must. Experience with ABAQUS is preferred. Master degree and previous experience in surface mechanics is a plus, but not required.
