Mechanics of Multifunctional Materials at PACAM XIII

Dear Colleagues:

Full scholarships available at European Commission funded workshop on fracture and damage mechanics in Antalya / Turkey

European Commission' s JRC (Joint Research Centre) is organizing the 2nd workshop on physics based modeling of material properties and experimental observations in collaboration with TOBB University of Economics and Technology. The workshop will be held in Antalya/Turkey on 15-17 May 2013, and the special focus will be fracture and damage mechanics.

Summer School on Advances in Finite Element Methods

The Summer School on Advances in Finite Element Methods will be held in Cape Town, South Africa, from 14-18 Jan 2013.
The website www.fesummerschool.co.za contains details such as registration, accommodation, lecturers and the schedule. 

The objective of this summer school is first, to provide the necessary background in the mathematics of finite elements, and second, to build on this background by addressing the topics of adaptivity and discontinuous Galerkin methods.
