We are organizing a mini-symposium, "Fracture and Instabilities in Soft Materials", on the 13th International Conference on Fracture, which will be held during June 16-21, 2013 in Beijing, China. We would like to invite you to submit an abstract on your recent research findings in related areas. EMI, the Engineering Mechanics Institute of ASCE, will hold its EMI 2013 Conference on August 4-7, 2013 at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.  The conference is chaired by Prof. Gianluca Cusatis and its theme is “Mechanics for Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructures.”   It is hosted by the Civil & Environmental and Mechanical Engineering Departments and the Theoretical & Applied Mechanics Program at Northwestern University.

Conference on Material Forming (ESAFORM 2013) will represent the 16th

European Commission' s JRC (Joint Research Centre) is organizing a workshop on physics based modeling of material properties and experimental observations in collaboration with METU (Middle East Technical University). The workshop will be held in Ankara on 22-23 October 2012.

The Workshop will include lectures by keynote speakers: W. Curtin, F. Dunne, L. Malerba, J-F Molinari, A. Needleman and B. Svendsen, and presentations by participants (oral or posters).

A joint workshop of the ISSMGE TC101-TC105: Experimental
Micromechanics for Geomaterials will be held on 23rd-24th May
2013 at The University of Hong Kong.

Abstracts are now invited, until the 1st October 2012. They should
be 200-300 words in length, written in English, and show relevance
to the theme of the workshop. Abstracts should be sent to Ms Bridget

The ninth biennial International Conference on Fatigue Damage of Structural Materials IX will be held in scenic Cape Cod at The Resort and Conference Center at Hyannis, Massachusetts from the 16 - 21 September 2012.

Register today to book your place at this prestigious conference, which has attracted over 290 abstracts. The conference will bring together delegates from around the world to discuss how to characterize, predict and analyse the fatigue damage of structural materials.

The objective of the workshop, co-organized by Joint Research Centre of the European Commission and Middle East Technical University, is to discuss the present status of physics based constitutive modelling of metallic materials and associated experimental methods.

The Workshop is funded by the European Commission's Integration and Enlargment Programme.  There is no cost for attending the Workshop. A limited number of scholarships is available for participants from the target countries (see attached flyer).
