Recent papers on rubber mechanics
Here are some of my recent papers about mechanics of rubber material. They concern constitutive modelling, fatigue and fracture.
Problems with atomic force microscopy
Hello,
Recently, I have a problem bothered me alot, anybody please help me out.
I am using Dimension 3100 AFM. It is a scanned tip SPM. There are two screws to adjust mirrow so that the laser can be reflected to the photodiode. My problem is:

Fracture Criterion
This is either a wage question I am asking or a stupid one...
How many fracture criterion do we have and what are they? some of these criterion that I am reading are related or a form of others...For example CTOD (crack tip opening displacement) criterion is related to energy release rate in
" A CTOD-Based Mixed-Mode Fracture Criterion" by Fashang Ma et al.
Any guid or direct help would be much appreciated.
Thanks for your time

Lateral Force Microscopy
I would like to do lateral force microscopy on biological samples. The more I look into it, it seems it is very difficult to calibrate AFM tips for lateral force microscopy. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to calibrate tips and which tips are conducive for lateral AFM?

Changing density value during thermal analysis
Hi everyone,
I need to perform a thermal analysis. A slab of solid material subjected to one side heat flux. My energy balance equation takes in account conduction and heat generation.
The conductio term is the usual term.
The heat generation term is function of the density, but the density is a function of temperature.
I think I should perform a transient analysis and manage to change the value of the density during the anlysis after each substep, at least.
Does someone know how to do it with ANSYS? It is the software that I'm trying to use.
Processing with Matlab the Femlab data
Please, can you help me with a
little issue. I am working with the multiphysics modelling of femlab:
Stokes problem, and I need the matrices of the bilinear form, gradient
and divergence operators to create a matlab program. Could you tell me how can I
have this information in the workspace of matlab and how can I use this
information to set up a program? Thakns in advance!
