Crack Kinking Out of an Interface - realization in a software
Dear Collegues,
software of interest to mechanicians
Dear Collegues,
hi - i'm new to the site and not familiar with material science in particular, however i'm currently looking for some simulation-software for cellular solids/ porous materials/ foam which allows me to evaluate the differentiation of geometry without too much scripting/programming - could anyone please point me in the direction of software available at a reasonable price (as an academic/student licence)/shareware/freeware which has output formats such as STL (Stereolithography), OBJ, DXF, IGES ..
Many Thanks!
I work on a project that study impact about Composite and need to analyse it in ANSYS. also I'm eager to learn impact, It's very usefulllll.
thanx.
Leuven, November 19, 2007. Materialise
launches Mimics 11.1, the new release of the company’s medical imaging and
editing software. This new release builds on the last one, enhancing export to
FEA even more. Overall usability and performance were improved with some very
nice new features. Take a look at our website for more information.
Dear all,
I have noticed that a lot of people are using UMAT and VUMAT material model
subroutines for their researches. However, most of these subroutines do not
find their way to free code market and remain in the hands of the developers.
Therefore, a lot of wheel re-inventing has to be done by other people. Since
development and testing of a material subroutine takes a damn long time, I
think it is a good idea if each of us can share the subroutines she has
developed with the others. I know that a couple of subroutines are publicly

Hello,
When I implement failure model into AUTODYN by user subroutine, I fonud there are some differences between results come from subroutine and the results computed by AUTODYN'S provided material model. Is there anybody who is kind enough and familiar with AUTODYN's user subroutine to help me? If possible, an example of a failure model(for example, Johnson-Cook failure model) is highly appreciated.

Simpleware Ltd. and COMSOL Inc. announced at the COMSOL Users Conference 2007 in Grenoble a partnership agreement to provide an export interface from Simpleware's world-leading 3D image-based meshing software +ScanFE™ to COMSOL Multiphysics® 3.4, the industry's foremost multiphysics simulation environment. The +ScanFE interface enables COMSOL users to directly import high-quality meshes generated from MRI, CT, and MicroCT scan data into COMSOL Multiphysics 3.4 for modelling and simulation without requiring re-meshing or pre-processing.
