Postdoc positions are available in the group of Prof. JG Zhu at Jiangsu University, China. Those possessing PhDs in the area of solid mechanics and material science are sought. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.coche.2019.02.011 We review the most recent developments in multiscale computational modeling of collagen-based biomaterials to determine their structural, mechanical, and physicochemical properties. Through the materials-by-design paradigm, these developments may eventually lead to rational algorithmic recipes for bottom–up multiscale design of these biomaterials, thereby minimizing the experimental costs of iterative material synthesis and testing.

We have one or more postdoc positions available, to be filled immediately, at MIT’s Laboratory for Atomistic and Molecular Mechanics, under the direction of Professor Markus Buehler. We are looking for postdocs in two broad areas, as described below. 

Position #1: Materials science modeling 

A PhD position is available at LaSie (La Rochelle University, France), until oct. 2019.

The work will be dedicated to the caracterisation (numercial and experimental) of the effect of grains boundary on the Hydrogen diffusion in Nickel polycrystals.

The Postdoctoral Scholar is responsible for independent and collaborative development, implementation, and analysis of scientific research in the discipline of computational and experimental biomechanics. Responsibilities include management of all aspects of research related to biomechanical characterization and computer modeling of biological tissue and implants in Vahdati Lab. The research projects include investigation of mechanopathologies of soft and calcified tissue and design of personalized medical devices.
