Applied Mechanics Division of ASME - 2013 Student Paper Competition

The Applied Mechanics Division of ASME encourages the involvement of graduate students in the activities of the AMD Division.  One of the ways is the sponsorship of the annual Student Paper Cmpetition.  The recipient of this prize was chosen from the Haythornthwaite Student Travel contest award pool sponsored by the Haythornthwaite Foundation. This year the winner was:

Two PhD positions in my research group are immediately available. Both positions involve the design, analysis, and implementation of numerical methods for computer aided design, analysis, and optimization with particular emphasis on complex multiphysics systems.
