Dear collegues,
I am modeling deformation of a simple triangular shape, /\, which is constrained at one end and the other end is free to move on the x direction. There is a displacement loading on the top corner and the output is the reaction force on the y direction at the free end.
I used Abaqus/ Standard and modeled this problem in 2D beam elements and 3D shell elements. The material is aluminum with plasticity and nonlinear geometry is on.
Please see attachment for ES 241 final presentation on heat conduction and the Boltzmann distribution.
Dear Colleagues:
I am pleased to inform you that the papers to be published in International Journal of Applied Mechanics (IJAM) Vol.1 No.2 will be online available soon.
IJAM Vol.1 No.2:
1. “Postbuckling Of Nano Rods/Tubes Based On Nonlocal Beam Theory”, C. M. Wang (National University of Singapore); Y. Xiang (University of Western Sydney); S. Kitipornchai (City University of Hong Kong).
I am wondering a problem slove by ogden hyperelastic model.
Please see attachment for ES241 final presentation--general theory of finite deformation
I was wondering what are the advantages of damage mechanics and fracture mechanics over each other? Specially in order to model the delamination phenomenon.
dear all,
this is arasu, i am using abaqus to find out wear using contact analysis.my model rotating disc over the pin(pin on disc ) in real time.so i want t o simulate rotating disc at some anular velocity.if any body have some solved problem about ratating geomentry please send me.
thank you
regards
Arasu
Dear all,
I intend to read the element sets which I have in my Abaqus input file from the user material code (UMAT) and check to which elset the current element, which is characterized by "NOEL" in the UMAT, belongs.
Best,
Hadi
