i am MPhil Physics from Qauid-I-Azam university Islamabad Pakistan in Theoritical Particle physics. My thesis topic was "Some Processes in Supersymmetry". I want to do Phd in any field of theoritical physics. I have good mathematical approach
Postdoctoral/Research Scientist Position in Computational Mechanics in Vancouver, Canada
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Vancouver research institute. This is a two-year industrial postdoctoral fellow position, which could lead to permanent employment. The successful incumbent will work with a multi-disciplinary team of scientists to develop computer models to predict mechanical properties of wood and paper products.
Abaqus / polymer simulation
I'm trying to model a peel T test on a composite material composed of steel and polymer (polypropylen) on Abaqus 6.7. Between these parts, there are cohesive elements COH3D8.
I have a problem with my model and I don't understand it. You can visualize my results in attachs files.
For understand this draw, a few precisions:
The elements in white has just here to guide the materials.
In B (cf attachs files), the nodes are embedded.
In A I applied a velocity.
smoothing length in SPH
Hi there,
Is there any basis for chosing the h/deltaP (where h and deltaP are respectively the smoothing length and particle spacing ) ratio in SPH. Is it purely based on some numerical experiment?
Thanks,
Amit
modeling in abaqus using dynamic/explicit
HI ,
I am Ashutosh..
i m a student of Mtech in cad/m from MNNIT, ALLAHABAD, INDIA.
I am working on my thesis for mtech which is to model erosive wear of materials under particle impact.
pls i need help on it as how can i model and simulate in abaqus/explicit.
hoping a reply..

Illustration of Consistent Tangent Tensor
I am looking for a good geometric illustration of the consistent tangent tensor (corresponding to a stress update procedure).
The theory is "clear" for me, but sometimes i am confused when i wanted to imagine the illustration of the difference between the consistent tangent and the continuum tangent tensors.
Could someone recommend me a textbook or paper that presents a good schematic illustration ?
Best Regards!
