Nonlinear vibration of a nanoplate embedded on a Pasternak-type foundation using nonlocal continuum theory

Abstract:
Nonlocal plate continuum model is utilized to investigate the nonlinear vibration behaviour of a singlelayer
nanoplate. The isotropic nanoplate is assumed to be embedded on a Pasternak-type elastic foundation with the
Theoretical models to predict the flexural failure of reinforced concrete beams under blast loads
The paper by Carta G. and Stochino F. presents two alternative approaches for the study of reinforced concrete beams under blast loads. In the first approach, the beam is modeled by means of Euler–Bernoulli’s theory and its elastic–plastic behavior is expressed through a new nonlinear relationship between bending moment and curvature. In the second approach, instead, the beam is idealized as a single degree of freedom system.
Deadline to submit abstracts for PACAM XIII extended
Based on several requests, the deadline to submit abstracts for the Pan American Congress of Applied Mechanics XIII has been extended to the 1st of February. This years PACAM will be held in Houston, TX--the first time PACAM is being held in North America! The conference will feature plenary talks by Professors Alan Needleman, K. Ravichandar and Roger Fosdick.

curvature tensor
Could someone explain me what do the curvature tensor mean at surface structures?
THX for the help!
