Hi every one . I am working on Simulation of precision glass molding process with the help of  Abaqus . Do any one have idea to simulate the glass at temprature 1400oC ? Please send me any usefull material regarding it.

Kind Regards

How to find material parameters for Abaqus PDA

Submitted by ebarbero on

The PDA model implemented in Abaus is an implementation of the idea of the cohesive zone model (CZM), which is quite popular for the analysis of delaminations, but PDA is for intralaminar damage. The problem my group faced when trying to use PDA was "where do we get the material parameters?"  We asked around in blogs and such but could not find a definitive answer. So, we went to work and came up with a methodology that may serve you.

Viscoelasticity Kelvin-voigt model in Abaqus

Submitted by RaphEmm on

Hi all,

I'm trying to model kelvin-Voigt type material (response of it during time)

The equation is very basic : sigma*epsilon+d/dt epsilon*viscosity coefficient(eta)

i'm wondering how to impliment the viscous term eta in Pa.s (experimental results gave me the value) in my model.

The theory is very simple but i can't figure out how to do such thing in Abaqus.

I tried Pony type but i don't now how to calculate the coefficients..

Can you help me?

Abaqus - MISES stress as output variable

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on
Hi,

I am doing a simulation in abaqus where pressure is applied over a rectangular solid model. I requested MISES output from one of the element where the pressure load is applied. My doubt is, " Is that possible to find the possible biggest model size above which the MISES stress will be constant ? ".

Boundary conditions are such a way that X and Z coordinates are totally constrained. the load is applied on the y-direction.

Electric analysis in abaqus

Submitted by anilshirahatti on

Hi,

I want to do an electro-mechanical analysis in abaqus. The specimen is a steel block of 50 x 50 x 20 mm with a groove/slot of 4 x 25 x 20 mm as shown in attached image.

I want to pass 20 amps current at location shown in red and then check the voltage drop at location shown in blue colour. Please can guide me the how to do this analysis in abaqus.

Thanks

Anil Shirahatti

Can we give the output as the input for the new analysis.....

Dear all,

I want to simulate the continuous forging operation in abaqus.

So after one forging operation, can i give the deformed shape as the input for the next cycle.

It would be kind of you to reply to me as soon as possible.

Thank You,
