Postdoc position in Experimental Mechanics of Geological Materials at Johns Hopkins University

A Postdoc position is available immediately in Professor Ryan Hurley’s laboratory (http://hurley.me.jhu.edu) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Hopkins Extreme Materials Institute at the Johns Hopkins University. The Postdoc will work in the field of experimental mechanics of geological materials, with a particular focus on developing and using in-situ laboratory and synchrotron X-ray measurements (imaging and diffraction) to study quasi-static and dynamic deformation mechanisms of rocks and granular materials.

We would like to make you aware of a mini-symposium we are organizing for WCCM-ECOMAS in 2020, to be held in Paris on July 19-24, 2020. The symposium is entitled "Computational Geomechanics", and focuses on modeling aspects related to geological materials.
