The Applied Mechanics Division of ASME encourages the involvement of graduate students in the activities of the AMD Division. One of the ways is the sponsorship of the annual Student Paper Cmpetition. The Applied Mechanics Division (AMD) of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) strives to foster the intelligent use of mechanics by engineers and to develop this science to serve the needs of the engineering community. The AMD was founded in 1927 with Stephen Timoshenko as its first chair.
The Applied Mechanics Division, of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, seeks nominations for the awards listed below. All the awards are international.
