PhD position in experimental materials and mechanics - University of Alabama

We seek a full-time Ph.D. student to work on the transmission electron microscopy (TEM) of nickel-based superalloys in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alabama. The position will start in January 2021 and will be for four years. It will be funded through a new NSF project on surface engineering of the nickel-based superalloys. The goal is to explore and understand the strengthening and precipitate interactions.
