 At the Division of Mechanics of Functional Materials in the institute of Materials Science, TU Darmstadt a Ph.D position is to be filled as soon as possible. The position is scheduled for three years.

 Tasks and Opportunities

The objective is Finite Element Simulation on viscoelastic and electromechanical behavior of porous ferroelectrets. In particular, different mechanisms which play influential roles in aging and fatigue of the ferroelectrets will be revealed.

Looking for postdoctoral position. My current postdoc contract at National University of Singapore will be terminated in the end of August, 2016. I have quite good experience in the following areas during my PhD and current postdoc career.

Areas: Dielectric elastomer, Smart Polymer, Energy harvesting using EAPs, Soft Actuation, Hydrogels/conducting polymers, Polymer nanocomposites, Dielectric/Piezoelectric materials.

I am Fan Xie, a PhD in solid mechanics, Beihang University.

   I am looking for a postdoctoral position in computational mechanics (MDs, FEM etc.) now. I have published 9 journal papers and 2 conference papers. I deeply understand the modeling of nano materials and nanocomposites (fiber reinforced, IPCs or bicontinuous composites) based on either Molecular Dynamics simulation (MDs) or FEM. And I am a hard working person as a Chinese student who is crazy about science.
