At the Division of Mechanics of Functional Materials in the institute of Materials Science, TU Darmstadt a Ph.D position is to be filled as soon as possible. The position is scheduled for three years.
Tasks and Opportunities
The objective is Finite Element Simulation on viscoelastic and electromechanical behavior of porous ferroelectrets. In particular, different mechanisms which play influential roles in aging and fatigue of the ferroelectrets will be revealed.
Several Master of Science (MS) positions in Mechanical Engineering are available for Summer/Spring 2017. Full RA available for 1 student. The "out of state tuition" is waived for all of the addmitted applicant with $1000 scholorship annually. Depending on the availibility of funding and applicant criteria other arrangement may be made. The positions are directed by Multiscale Contact Mechanics and Tribology Laboratory at Lamar University, Beaumont, TX, USA.
Looking for postdoctoral position. My current postdoc contract at National University of Singapore will be terminated in the end of August, 2016. I have quite good experience in the following areas during my PhD and current postdoc career.
Areas: Dielectric elastomer, Smart Polymer, Energy harvesting using EAPs, Soft Actuation, Hydrogels/conducting polymers, Polymer nanocomposites, Dielectric/Piezoelectric materials.
Two PhD vacancies (4 years) are available in the composites research group at Ghent University in Belgium. The first position deals with experimental investigation of thermomechanical fatigue of short fibre reinforced thermoplastics for composite heat exchangers, while the second one deals with nonlinear ultrasonic inspection of composite materials. XP-RESILIENCE is an inter/multi-disciplinary programme including seven academic

I am looking for a postdoctoral position in computational mechanics (MDs, FEM etc.) now. I have published 9 journal papers and 2 conference papers. I deeply understand the modeling of nano materials and nanocomposites (fiber reinforced, IPCs or bicontinuous composites) based on either Molecular Dynamics simulation (MDs) or FEM. And I am a hard working person as a Chinese student who is crazy about science.
