Job Description

Responsibilities: You will closely collaborate with Schlumberger design engineers in US, Europe, and Asia. You will be performing FEA studies in technically challenging areas such as non-linear solid mechanics, metal plasticity, viscoelastic materials, shock, vibration, heat transfer, composites, and fluid/structure interactions. You will also need to present FEA results to various internal or external clients.

We are seeking 2 highly motivated PhD candidates for a research project supported by Australian Research Council (ARC) with an Industry partner, OZ Minerals, based in South Australia.

                A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the computational mechanics group of Professor Albert To at University of Pittsburgh.  The position is in the modeling of additive manufactured (3D printed) metals and lattice structures and is for one year with possible extension to two years upon satisfactory performance.  The applicant is required to have a doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field at the time of appointment.  The applicant must also
