Seeking a Postdoctoral position in mechanical and material engineering

Submitted by gayoub on

My name is Georges Ayoub; I am seekinging a postdoctoral research position in mechanical and material engineering. I defended my PHD at the beginning of this academic year (2010/2011) and the examining committee gave me the title of doctor in mechanical engineering with a very honourable mention and with the examining committee praise (they judged my work as an excellent one). I am very motivated to start a Postdoctoral position in January, in the USA.

Postdoc position at MIT available immediately

Submitted by Markus J. Buehler on

We have several open postdoc positions, to be filled immediately.

The first project is focused on thermal management. The project involves the computational and theoretical analysis of graphene/graphite-metal nanocomposites and experimental work carried out by other team members. We are looking for a strong person with background in thermal and mechanical properties of materials, preferrably with background in molecular simulation.

Seeking postdoctoral researcher - Molecular Dynamics of CNT-nanocomposites

Submitted by Michael A. McCarthy on

The Irish Research Council (http://www.ircset.ie/tabid/64/default.aspx) has a funding scheme for postdoctoral researchers. I am seeking someone to submit an application to IRCSET to obtain funding to work within my group, in Modelling of CNT-based nanocomposites. The chances of success are high for candidates with a good research record. The deadline for applications is December 8th.

Looking for a postdoctoral position in the field of (solid) computational mechanics

Submitted by phunguyen on

Hello,

My name is Nguyen Vinh Phu, a PhD student at Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. I have been working with Prof. Bert Sluys on a project named "Coarse graining of failure in heterogeneous solids" since July 2007. I am finishing my work and therefore seeking for a postdoctoral position starting after July 2011.

My expertise in computational solid mechanics includes

(1) Finite elements, extended finite elements and meshless methods.
