I am looking for an internship or visiting student opportunity focusing on mechanics and multi-scale modeling of metallic materials in Canada, Europe, Australia, South Korea, Japan, or Singapore.
The Cornell Engineered Living Materials Institute (ELMI) is seeking applicants for postdoctoral fellowships. Fellows will work with faculty affiliates to pursue their own original proposed research that aligns with ELMI objectives.
A PhD position in multi-scale modelling of auxetic cementitious composites is open at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, Delft University of Technology. The PhD will be part of a larger ERC funded project and collaborate closely with other members of the project team.
Dr Liya Zhao from the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney, global ranking QS = 45th, US News = 41th), is seeking PhD students to work on projects related to the following topics. Full scholarship will be provided (Tuition waiver + stipend).
• Nonlinear dynamics
• Vibration energy harvesting (harnessing renewable energy from base vibration or wind-induced vibration, ocean wave, etc.; developing efficiency enhancement innovations)
A post-doctoral position in the general area of applied mechanics is available in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Northeastern University.
