One Post-Doc position is now available at the Institut für Angewandte Mechanik of the Technische Universität Braunschweig, Germany, within the ERC Starting Researcher Grant "INTERFACES". The position is a full-time fixed-term position for 2 years with the possibility of renewal.
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will host a Symposium on "Advanced Nano/Biosystem: Design, Fabrication and Characterization" to be held in Urbana, Illinois, USA, September 25 to 27, 2013. The primary objective of the symposium is to stimulate interdisciplinary discussion on recent advances in the rapidly evolving fields of nano/biomaterial design, fabrication and characterization among physics, chemistry, biology, mechanics, and material science.
Hi all
Can anyone tell me how to extract abaqus results in radial and tangential stresses at a node??
Thanks
At the Division of Mechanics
of Functional Materials in the institute of Materials Science, TU Darmstadt the
following research position is to be filled as soon as possible:
Research position (E 13 TV – TU
Darmstadt), Doctoral Candidate/Postdoc
The position is first
scheduled for three years in the case of doctoral candidate and two years in
the case of Postdoc (an extension is possible).
Tasks and Opportunities
The SIMULIA Regional User Meeting provides an invaluable platform
for industry and academia to join together and learn how the latest simulation
technologies and methods can accelerate and improve product
development.
Take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to showcase your work.
We encourage all users of SIMULIA including Abaqus FEA, Isight and SIMULIA SLM
to submit an abstract for consideration.
Hi all,
I am trying to input a termperature field as initial conditions in
abaqus, to use the temperature distribution from a previous temperature
simulation in an mechanical simulation. But when I check the Temperature
values in the mechanical simulation i get great differences between the
nodal values (NT) and the element values (TEMP).
Does anybody know the reason of this problem?
Can it be related to the element typ? So the TEMP values are the avereged values from NT?
