time and again the question of SMA (shape memory alloy) modeling pops up.
In ABAQUS, you can achieve this only by (V)UMAT coding or by using the little-known built-in SMA model.
In the past I have frequently responded to queries on SMA modeling and could refer to a customer help site of SIMULIA. That site is down, regrettably.
I decided to post the files here to avoid responding with a longer explanation to every individual seeking assistance and uploading the files as E-mail attachment every time.

I am trying to write a subroutine with VUSDFLD
I would like to manipulate the Solution Dependent Variables based on its previous value as follows:
Statenew(k,2)=Stateold(k,2)*10
But Multiplaction and Divisiion operations do not give any results. They give 'No value' when they are output.
Would anyone know why this happens?

In ANSYS mechanical I am interested for free vibration analysis of ship structure, for it I have an weight distribution information along with all geometry details . I am looking for frequency as a an output from it.
I want to convert the ship into equivalent beam section ,anyone has an Idea how to convert it into beam element ?
As per my knowledge I have to take care of CG location ,Ixx ,Iyy and Izz.
Kindly help me to perform same.

Abstract:
Dear All,
I am okay in ABAQUS although trying subroutines for the first time.
I am trying to modify some codes available online, but the primary UMAT which I am posting here, is not working.
It shows no error in .log file but the job monitor says "Problem during compilation - D:\Abaqus Work Directory\Trial_user_subroutine\try\Umat_mine.for"
Please help me this, its very urgent.
