Pls be informed that I am using abaqus explicit to model my
pipeline that
embedded in soil. In standard, Coord 1 means x co-ordinate,
coord 2 means Y
co-ordinnate and coord 3 means Z -co-ordinate. But I can not
undestand the
meaning of CoordMP(nblock,j) in explicit. I want vertical
co-ordinates of some
elements of my model but if I put CoordMP(k,2) it shows
always a constant value
for all elements which make no sense.

I just constructed a VUMAT which including 3 state dependent variables ( nstatev =3 ), let say these three state dependent variables each have a initial value of 10, 20 and 30, may I know how to assign these initial values into the simulation or VUMAT?
So far I follow the manual to assign the initial value via input file with material properties command as below (the line started with "*Initial Conditions" is line 361):

This is MATLAB code that was written by myself and collaborators that we've sought to make available to the wider research community. The program is intended to track the displacements of micropatterned dots on a substrate in a similar manner to that performed by Maloney et al. in "Influence of Finite Thickness on cellular adhesion-induced deformation of an compliant substrata". Physical Review E. 2008.
Creep can be characterized as the result of a solid material that is slowly and permanently deformed under the influence of stress. Deformation results from the consistent stress below the yield strength of the material. The amount of applied stress and its duration can eventually lead to the failure of the given material. Ultimately, it is for this reason that Nanoindentation creep measurement provides crucial information to study material behavior.
I have attached notes prepared to better understand locking. This might be useful to FEM guys....
