ANSYS MPC-184

Hello

I want to model a 2-D frame with BEAM3 element as beam and columns. As I know the
connection between the beam and the column created by ANSYS is rigid. My aim is
to create an hinge connection between the beam and the column.

My problem is modeling this hinge connection, I used MPC184-revolunt joint but I
don't know how to model hinge by MPC184-revolunt element correctly.

Can someone help me to model it?

Harmonic Analysis using LMM

I am working in ANSYS multiphysics for vibration analysis of electronic equipments. To find out absolute displacement on cards in Harmonic Analysis by using Large Mass Method, I need to give 1g acceleration on Large Mass. I am applying (Large Mass*9.81*1) force on Large Mass so as to simulate 1g accleration but response at same LM location after analysis is coming 2.5g. Can anybody suggest any alternate method of doing it?

Viscoplasticity (Anand's Model in ABAQUS CAE 6.8)

Hi,

I am trying to model a double lap shear in ABAQUS. In Abaqus version
6.7 and above, Anand's model can be invoked by editing keywords and
adding necessary data lines  in keyword editor. I am facing some
prblems in running the job analysis and since I am new to working with
ABAQUS, I am not able to solve the problem. The problem is, when I
submit the job the status keeps on showing "Running" without showing
any error or warnings. I have tried all both coarse and finner meshes
so i think there is no problem with convergence.
