The Cardiovascular Biomechanics Lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join our research team. The position is supported by a research grant from the NIH to study the mechanical stability and tortuosity of blood vessels. Qualifications include a doctoral degree in BME or ME in computational fluid mechanics, or computational biomechanics.

The book I recommend for reading is Fracture mechanics: fundamentals and applications, by T.L.Anderson, 3rd edition, 2005. I first saw this book on the top list of reading materials of Brown U. When I have it I found so pleasent to read through it. Here is the short-list of its content

I am trying to simulate crack propagation in ANSYS. I am stucked in Cohesive Zone meshing.
I have gone through all the posts posted here.
I have understood that CZ Meshing is done through command line ANSYS. Even I gave try for it but was unfortunate.

Does anybody have an idea for solving torsion equation for trapezoidal bars? Or any references? For rectangular bars Timoshenko completely did it in in "Theory of Elasticity" pages 309-313, but I could not find any references for trapezoidal cross section.

Dynamic fracture mechanics is written by a very well known professro-L B Freund. Honestly, I have only read a small part of the book. However, I recommend this book because after reading this book, you can learn many things which haven't be touched in the class, as stated by Zhigang in the beginning of the class.
