One Post-Doctoral Fellow : High order / curvilinear mesh generation

Submitted by remacle on

There is a growing consensus that state of the art finite volume technology requires, and will continue to require too extensive computational resources to provide the necessary resolution, even at the rate that computational power increases. The requirement for high resolution naturally leads us to consider methods that have a higher order of grid convergence than the classical (formal) 2nd order provided by most industrial grade codes.

Regarding Subroutine

Submitted by vikas sharma on

Hi all

i am new user of Abaqus and as a part of my research i need to define a subroutine for composite plate delamination during drilling.however, i still dont know how to open a subroutine file to write in Fortran language? how can i see the available subroutine files as a guidance? i will appreciate if any one answer to help me by answering my question.

thanks

Buckling analysis using ansys

Submitted by Ajeesh on

Hai all, I am performing shear buckling analysis of plate girdersusing ansys. The ultimate shear buckling strength can be easily obtained by applying concentrated load on the model. My issue is to obtain critical shear buckling strength accurately. Some tutorials tell that critical buckling can be obtained from the load - deflection curve where large deformation is initiated. How can i track values exactly. I there any alternative method to track critical buckling. If anyone finds a solution, please reply......

Postdoctoral Researcher on Multiscale Modeling of Electrical and Mechanical Properties of Multifunctional Composites

Submitted by Javier LLorca on

The research group on ‘Structural Composites’ at IMDEA Materials seeks a Research Associate (Postdoctoral Researcher) for a collaborative European Project in the area of Multiscale Modeling of Electrical and Mechanical Properties of Multifunctional Polymer Composites, The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the project leader to develop detailed multiscale modeling tools (micro and meso levels) to predict electrical conductivity and mechanical properties  of CFRP composites reinforced with nanotubes/nanofibers.

Post Doctoral Fellow at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST): Computational Mechanics

Submitted by Dawei Zhang on

A postdoc position is available in the Composite and Heterogeneous Materials Modeling and Simulation Laboratory (COHMAS) at KAUST. The successful candidate will be engaged in modeling and numerical simulation in nano-reinforced composite materials for applications in close collaboration with the aeronautical industry.

Coupled Temperature Displacement Analysis for layered Soild

Submitted by Dhaneshwar Mishra on

I am trying to carry out coupled temperature displacement analysis for layered solid in ABAQUS 6.8 but it is not accepting coupled temperature displacement type element for layered solid (Composite). I would like to request for some suggestions/ way out to carry out the same in ABAQUS.

Thank you.

with regards
