A PhD position is open for summer or fall 2018 in Advanced Hierarchical Materials by Design Lab at Louisiana Tech University on multiscale modeling of hierarchical materials with an emphasis on printed materials. The candidates must have earned a B.Sc. (M.Sc. is preferred) degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related fields and have a solid background in theoretical and computational mechanics, specifically continuum mechanics and finite element modeling, and need to have the basic knowledge of writing computer code (preferably using C/C++).

The Confirm Centre for Smart Manufacturing is a new research centre based at the University of Limerick. The Centre brings together 42 industry partners and 16 international manufacturing centres of excellence to focus on the development of smart manufacturing for applications across Ireland’s leading industrial sectors.
