1 Early Stage Researcher (ESR) PhD position in biomechanics offered within the framework of the project MeDiTATe (The medical digital twin for aneurysm prevention and treatment) funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Innovative Training Networks (ITN) with Grant Agreement No. 859836. MeDiTATe is a European Industrial Doctorate (EID).

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for two Research Associate positions to assist in experimental mechanics and advanced materials in Professor Xiaodong (Chris) Li's lab.

The research associates are expected to perform materials synthesis, coating and composite testing, microstructural and mechanical characterization, and finite element analysis, write reports and technical papers.

Positions are available in Dr. Jason Mayeur's research group in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Preferred candidates will have earned an MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field, and have a solid background in theoretical and computational mechanics. Ideal candidates will also have prior experience in finite element modeling and computer programming.
