We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Academic Associate to contribute to research and teaching in the Department of Engineering at Nottingham Trent University. A post doctoral position (funded by Boeing USA) will be available from September 2019 at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. The project involves Finite Element studies on the welding of thermoplastics. Candidates need to be have a background in non linear Solid Mechanics with experience of implementing user subroutines in ABAQUS. Familiarity with cohesive zone models will help. Initial appointment will be for a year.
