The Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford intends to appoint two full-time Departmental Lecturers in Mechanics of Materials to join the Solid Mechanics and Materials Engineering Group to commence as soon as possible. The successful candidates will work at the Department of Engineering Science (Central Oxford, OX1 3PJ). The posts are fixed-term for a duration of four years.

Description: The Cardiovascular Engineering Lab (CEL) is actively recruiting multiple graduate students interested in pursuing a PhD in Biological Engineering or Engineering Science at Louisiana State University (LSU). Research focus is flexible, depending on the strengths and interests of the applicant. Projects at CEL encompass both experimental studies of cardiovascular biology and mechanics as well as computational modeling and simulation of cardiovascular function.

A fully supported PhD position in computational mechanics and fluid-structure interaction (FSI) is available in the Department of Civil Engineering at Stony Brook University. The position is part of a collaborative project led by Drs. Rigoberto Burgueño, Paolo Celli, and George Moutsanidis. The successful applicant will work within an interdisciplinary research team focusing on the design of innovative structures for marine hydrokinetic energy devices, and will concentrate on the development and application of advanced numerical techniques to support these efforts.

The Biomechanics Lab in the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at Marquette University and Medical College of Wisconsin is recruiting Postdoctoral Research Associates to work on biomechanics and biomedical engineering research.
