We are looking for one PhD candidate within the field of Hydrogen-Embrittlement. The position is a part of a researcher project "Hydrogen-induced degradation of offshore steels in ageing infrastructure - models for prevention and prediction (HIPP)" financed by PETROMAKS II program of The Research Council of Norway.
This research focuses on Modelling, and Computational Material design of Composite materials.
Candidate will have a Masters Degree in computational solid mechanics with substantial experience in the
application and development of finite element code. Previous experience in applied mathematical modelling is essential.

Li-ion batteries for large-scale electrochemical storage systems: Fundamental studies, life-prediction and optimization
This project on Li-ion batteries will focus on experimental, theoretical modeling, and numerical simulation-based approaches aimed towards managing electro-chemo-mechanical degradation, capacity fade, and power loss. Moreover, thermal management and safety aspects will be looked at for life-prediction and optimization of Li-ion batteries.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
