Profs. Satya Atluri from UC Irvine, Nancy Sottos from UIUC, and Zhigang Suo from Harvard are confirmed Plenary Speakers for McMat2015. One additional plenary speaker from industry will be announced soon.
Researchers and engineers with expertise in fracture mechanics are invited to attend this special symposium to learn the outcome of the Sandia Fracture Challenge 2 (SFC2), which was launched in the summer of 2014. Discussions regarding novel modeling approaches for predicting the onset and process of ductile tearing will also be held.
As part of the USACM's 13th U.S. National Congress on Computational Mechanics (USNCCM13) to be held in San Diego, California, July 26-30, 2015, we are organizing a minisymposium on
advances and applications in Generalized/Extended Finite Element Methods.
Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces and Hysitron, Inc. are pleased to present Nanobrücken 2015: A Nanomechanical Testing Workshop & Hysitron User Meeting, which will take place on April 21-23, 2015 in Potsdam, Germany. Nanobrücken 2015 is the fifth edition of the now-annual Nanobrücken workshop series, having been hosted in both Saarbrücken and Dresden.
The Keynote Speaker for this year's workshop will be Prof. Mathias Göken, Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg.
