Hello everyone,
I am using python scripts to extract the field output (displacements) in a nodeset (which was defined in the model) and it does not seem that difficult but I have a question regarding reading output data for a especial coordinate (x,y,z location) and not the node label since when you change the discretization you lose the previous node labels. Does anyone have any idea how to do so?
How to join the node between two part for example wire planar 3D and plate 3D? I have probem when assemble ABAQUS stated 2 nodes do not coincide.
I have difficulty in constraint between 2 parts.
I have tried inb MPC, TIE CONSTRAINT , MERGE CUT but all not succesfully done.

Dear Abaqus User,
Is there any other possible way to model connector uniaxial behavior (cyclic/hysteretic behavior) without using dynamic explicit analysis? In the manual, it is mentioned that connector uniaxial behavior can be used only with explicit analysis. I am having problem when I chose to run dynamic explicit analysis. The model runs fine with general static step (using cyclic displacement as amplitude). I just need to run quasi static analysis as there is nothing to do with inertia effect.
