Material Deposition and Element Activation Deactivation
I'm student working on welded Pipes. I used DFLUX routine in
Abaqus/Standard. I need help regarding material deposition so that
element ahead to the heat source should be progressively deactived as
the torch moves and behind to the heat source should be continously
activated. I'm new user of abaqus. Kindly help me.
I'll be really thankful for your cooperation.
Effect of fiber arrangement on mechanical properties of short fiber reinforced composites
2-D "tension-shear chain" model (Ref.1-3) is well known successfully capturing the basic mechanical features of staggered structures in shell-like biomaterials. Our recent paper appeared in Comp. Sci. Tech. developed a three-dimensional (3D) "tension-shear chain" theoretical model to predict the mechanical properties of unidirectional short fiber reinforced composites, and especially to investigate the distribution effect of short fibers.

modeling by ABAQUS
Hello,
I want your help
I'm doing a model by ABAQUS. I want to apply force in the first step and after that I want to change the geometry in the second step (I want to do a hole in my geometry).
How can I change my geometry after applying the force?
can you help me please?
Thanks

Interaction properties
I am cuurently using 12 ply GFRP. After submtting the job file, the visualisation of the displacement showed ther is non-contact between the ply at free end. I ma uusing a model of free baem cantilever.
How to ensure there is no such non contact between the plies?
Strain-Controlled Switching of Hierarchically Wrinkled Surfaces between Superhydrophobicity and Superhydrophilicity
Recent years have witnessed intense interest in multifunctional surfaces that can be designed to switch between different functional states with various external stimuli including electric field, light, pH value, and mechanical strain. The present paper is aimed to explore whether and how a surface can be designed to switch between superhydrophobicity and superhydrophilicity by an applied strain.
Concrete cracking and durability (first entry)
Hi all,
I am a PhD researcher working on relationship between cracking of concrete and its durability, using both experimental and numerical approaches. The work is being carried out at Delft University of Technology, in the Netherlands. For anyone interested, here is the webpage of the project:
