Fully funded PhD positions are available in my group in the Mechanical Engineering department at University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). Successful applicants are expected to work on the development of innovative high performance computational methods, including reduced order modeling and scientific machine learning, for multi-scale modeling of additive manufacturing process and materials. Recyclability of composite blades is an important requirement for future wind turbines. There exist a number of solutions for the recycling of wind turbine blades. How to compare and optimize various composite recycling technologies? How to ensure efficiency of technology and quality of products? This will be a task for new postdoc at DTU Wind.

Dr. Alban de Vaucorbeil from Deakin University (Victoria, Australia) has a tax-free PhD Scholarship available from November 2023. Funding to conduct research and stipend is provided. The student will be located in Geelong, Australia, close to the city of Melbourne and the famous Bells Beach, Torquay.

Dear all,

A master position is open at University of Technology of Belfort-MontBéliard in France. The master projet is essentially focused on the modeling of the interaction between the laser and metals in order to predict surface morphology. 

The modeling has to account for the different physical phenomenon involved during the interaction. Therefore, comparison between experimental database and numerical results is expected.

I am looking for a enthusiastic Student or Postdoc who would like to enhance his/her knowledge in the field of computational mechanics. The focus in this three-year research project is about IGA simulation of flow diverters in patient-specific blood vessels considering fluid-structure interactions.
