Professor Yonggang Huang to Receive the 2019 Theodore von Karman Medal from ASCE

Professor Yonggang Huang of Northwestern University will receive the 2019 Theodore von Karman Medal from ASCE. The Theodore von Karman Medal recognizes distinguished achievement in engineering mechanics, applicable to any branch of civil engineering.

There is an opening for a PhD student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Baylor University in Waco, TX, USA for Fall 2019 or Spring 2020 (negotiable). The position comes with 3 years of research assistantship with support that includes monthly stipend and tuition remission. The general area of interest is in composite materials including both polymeric and ceramic matrix composites. Scope of work includes composite manufacture, testing (environmental/high temperature), characterization and computational modeling.
