Baoxing Xu will be the next Editor of iMechanica Journal Club

Baoxing Xu of the University of Virginia will be the next Editor of the iMechanica Journal Club. The Journal Club was initiated in January 2007, soon after the launch of iMechanica. It has quickly grown into a flagship feature of iMechanica, epitomizing the vibrant topics and dynamic researchers at the frontier of mechanics.

Postdoc opening at the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge

We are looking for an outstanding postdoc for research on statistical finite elements and Bayesian inference in structural/solid mechanics with applications to digital twins. 

 

Candidates should have a strong background in at least two of the following:

  • Computational Solid/Structural Mechanics 
  • Bayesian Inference and Probabilistic Machine Learning 
  • Uncertainty Quantification
  • Constitutive modelling
