Thank you, Chuck, for a wonderful sequence of courses on plates and shells, and for being such a great inspiration as a person and a scholar.
A great Intern opportunity for a Ph.D. candidate in Computational Rheology to work on advanced AR/VR technologies. The focus of the internship will be on computational modeling and testing of polymer films for a variety of novel/challenging AR and VR applications. We work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, and on a wide variety of applications and materials.

We have Ph.D. positions in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) with a primary focus on the mechanobiology of cells and tissues. We are looking for candidates with a background in solid and fluid mechanics to work in a collaborative environment. Our research develops integrated computational and experimental tools to understand and harness the role of mechanics in physiological processes such as wound healing, and pathological processes such as fibrocontractile diseases and tumor progression.
Multiple fully funded PhD positions are available as early as Fall, 2022 in Dr. Ning Zhang’s research group at the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa). The research work will focus on the mechanical and thermal properties of structural and multifunctional materials.
The research topics include:
(1) Polymer composites;
(2) Medium/High entropy alloys;
(3) Biomaterials;
(4) Machine learning.
Multiple postdoc and Ph.D. positions are available in Wang Research lab (https://www.wangresearchlab.com) in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and the Institute of Materials Science at the University of Connecticut.
