We are sending you this message to let you know that the Aifantis International Symposium, dedicated to the life time achievements of Prof. Elias C. Aifantis, Emeritus Professor, Michigan Technological University, Houghton, USA and Honorary Professor, Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, Greece, will be held from 4-9 October 2015 in Antalya, Turkey.

Extended deadline for abstract submission ESMC2015 "Micro and Nano Mechanics"

Fellow iMechanicians,

the deadline for submission for the next European Solid Mechanics Conference has been extended to the 30th November.

The conference will be the "place-to-be" next year in the Solid Mechanics community, with a truly outstanding line-up for the plenary lectures.

In particular, I am co-organizing with Nicola Pugno a mini-symposium on Micro and Nano Mechanics

Minisymposium at PANACM 2015: Smooth Approximations on Unstructured Meshes

As part of the 1st Pan-American Congress on Computational Mechanics (April 27-29, 2015 in Buenos Aires, Argentina), Marino Arroyo and I are organizing a minisymposium - ``Smooth Approximations on Unstructured Nodal Discretizations: Finite Elements, Spline-based Techniques and Meshfree.'' The deadline for abstract submissions is November 20, 2014.
