I m facing problem with modelling of fiber reinforced composite material.
i found out all the properties of composite material using the rve and want to modell the specimen we need. after modeling of desired it is not giving the actual result
so please help me in the above problem

I am in the process of applying for a PhD in computational solid mechanics in the US and I am about to take the GRE. Well I have been kind of busy at my work and didn't really get time to study the word list.
My question is, how much weight does the verbal part have in admission/fellowship/assistantship decisions? If I have really good GPA's and research experience with enthusiastic refrees, can I still make it with medicore results on the verbal part?

I want to model a composite laminate by shell99 in ANSYS.This laminate is symmetrical about the midplane,so I adjust Layer Symmetry Key(LSYM) to 1 and halve the number of layers. when I compare the maximum deflection of this model with the max deflection of the model with LSYM=0(by inputing total layers) there is a big difference between these two results. It's natural that the results should be the same. I don't know why this error occurs.
