cutting for an aeronautic aluminium alloy(A2024-T351)

Submitted by rachid83 on

Hello every body,

I am working on the simulation of cutting for aluminium alloy (A2024-T351) in abaqus, i use Johnson cook model

I want to introduce several critical values of damage (D1=0.1and D2=0.1,0.5,0.7), how can i do that in abaqus CAE

IF anyone would please help me

Crack thickness

Macroscopic
cracks do not appear as a result of an ideal separation of two adjacent atomic
layers. Just the opposite, cracks appear as a result of the development of
multiple micro-cracks triggered by the massive breakage of atomic bonds. The microcracking
and the bond breakage are not confined to two neighbor atomic planes: the
process involves thousands atomic planes within the representative characteristic
volume of size h. This size defines the width (not the lenth) of the damage
localization zone and it can be called the crack thickness. The knowledge of

Dear colleagues,

I'm a graduate student from University of Pittsburgh. I want to make a CNT reinforced ceramic composites (woven structure), but cannot find people to make it for us. Can anyone introduce me any labs or company who can help me? Thanks!

Dear Engineers,

I am Master degree student and I am trying to determine Young's Modulus of Hybrid Composite.

Since I don't have any material properties in detail of each part of mentioned composite, I chose an experimental method which is Tensile test with MTS machine to determine Young's Modulus. The major problem which I have faced in this procedure is that due to the limitation on my sample, I can just prepare specimen for determining transverse Young's Modulus in accordance ASTM standard for geometrical dimensions.

Hybrid Composite Tensile Test

Dear Engineers.

I am Master degree student and I am trying to determine Young's Modulus of Hybrid Composite. Since I Don't have any material properties in detail of each part of mentiond composite, I chose an experimental tensile test with MTS machine to attain at Least Young's Modulus. The major problem which I have faced is that due to limitation on my sample, i can just prepare specimen for transverse tensile test based on ASTM standard which recommend geometrical dimensions for specimen.
