Dear users,

 I am currently undergoing a research on simulating iron powder compaction using ABAQUS. As i am new to this software, i need some guide on it. I had read through the manual but it doesnt help much. Below are my few enquiries:

1) The density required in material parameter is the initial density or the bulk density of the iron powder? If i use relative density, can i input in ABAQUS?

I am a fresher; I just started working for a company leading in passenger cars.

I have been given a project in which I have to design a vibration test fixture for passenger car bumper.

Currently, we manufacture fixture in-house. And for every bumper, separate fixture is made.My task is to design a test fixture (for testing frequency range of 0- 70 Hz) which will be modular.

I have a problem in meshing area in ansys. I have craeted two areas perpendicular to each other in global xyz cartesian system. I can easily mesh the area in xy plane but if i try to mesh the area in yz plane it gives error message that the area is not parallel to global xy plane. I tried going for local coordinate system, but it is also not working. Can anybody guide me regarding this.

Hi,

I am going to start radial return mapping algorithm for isotrpic metal viscoplasticy. Can any one guide me that from where should I start. 

I have tried but I have not found myself in the right way.
