We are looking for a self-motivated Ph.D. student to study Machine Learning enabled computational models for applications in Material Modeling and Computational Mechanics, starting August 2024. This project will draw ideas from various subjects including Bayesian Machine Learning, Scientific Machine Learning, Projection-based model reduction, Computational Mechanics, and Medical Imaging. This is a collaborative project between Michigan Tech and University of California, Los Angeles.

We have openings for postdoctoral positions in the Balakrishna Research Group (https://ananyabalakrishna.com/) at UCSB. The successful candidate will develop mathematical models (phase-field, molecular dynamics, DFT) and numerical methods to investigate the origins of chemo-mechanical degradation in battery materials. Beyond batteries, we also have openings to pursue original research on topics related to phase transformations in soft magnetic alloys, shape-memory alloys, and light interactive molecular crystals.

One postdoc position is available in the Departments of Materials Science and Engineering and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Connecticut (UConn).The Postdoc candidate is expected to

The Biomechanics Lab in the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at Marquette University and Medical College of Wisconsin is recruiting Postdoctoral Research Associates to work on biomechanics and biomedical engineering research.
