Two Postdoc positions at Northeastern: Cellular structures, Soft Matter, and Biomimetic materials and structures

Submitted by Ashkan Vaziri on

Two postdoctoral fellow positions at Northeastern University are available immediately, focused on the analysis of the nonlinear behavior of structures and soft matter using computational mechanics and the development and analysis of active cellular structures, and biomimetic materials. The research will be carried out at the High Performance Materials and Structures Laboratory (http://www.hpmsl.neu.edu/).

Postdoctoral Researcher in Computational Mechanics of Composite Materials at IMDEA Materials

Submitted by claudiosaul.lopes on
The research group of Design and Simulation of Composites Structures at IMDEA Materials, led by Drs. Carlos González and Cláudio S. Lopes, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in the field of multiscale computational mechanics of advanced composites. Candidates with strong background knowledge on computational damage mechanics, model development, and numerical simulation of advanced composite materials and structures are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience in experimental mechanical testing of composites is highly valued.

postdoctoral position - isogeometric analysis

Submitted by sangalli on

IMATI-CNR and the Mathematics Department of the University of Pavia offer a postdoc position on isogeometric analysis. This research project focuses on the design and implementation of innovative isogeometric methods for solid/fluid mechanics.  In particular the target applications are related to

- nearly-incompressible and fibered materials

- fluids in geological formations

This research project is partially supported by the private sector, and is supervised by Annalisa Buffa and Giancarlo Sangalli.
